"What do you offer on aquatic plants?"

When you purchase a new aquatic plant from an aquatic outlet, you will normally pay around £2.75 for a 7 cm pot to £4 for an 11 cm pot. The plants, like garden centres, are normally flowering which will mean they're pot bound and need re-planting. This means that there's more cost involved; a larger container, a bag of aquatic soil and washed gravel to dress the plant before placing it in the pond.

All our plants are now home grown and are planted up ready for your pond, when you need them. Subject to your ponds' filtration system, this preparation should provide your plant with a season or two's un-interrupted growth before any consideration of trimming is needed. Our pot sizes vary subject to plant species, but a rough guide is:

  • Shallow marginal (pond edge plant) - 1 litre pot - £5 each
  • Deep marginal (Iris etc) - 2 litre pot - £7 each
  • Water lilies - 2 or 3 litre pot - £15 each

If you engage us to provide either one-off or regular maintenance work on your pond, we prepare and care for your existing plants on-site, augmenting your selection as necessary and with prior agreement with yourselves. Any plants that need caring for carry a £1 per plant charge.
