"What time do you start and finish work?"

When we set up the business, trying to get anywhere in Bristol was nigh on impossible prior to 9 am. As such, our staff normally commence work at 8.45 am. They load the van with the days' requirements, normally setting off by 9 am. This allows them to reach their clients address around 9.30 am, subject of course to traffic or distance.

The Gloucestershire team also run the same hours. Mark starts work at 7 am doing essential paperwork prior to staff turning up for work at 8.45 am. The van is loaded and they're on the road by 9 am. Dependent upon who is working where, the Gloucestershire team normally reaches anywhere off the M4 / M5 corridor (including north and west Bristol) before the Bristol team.

The time we leave is dependent upon the project being undertaken. Normal working hours are 8.45 am to 4.45 pm however if the job needs completion or a key stage needs to be reached that day, then the staff stay on irrespective. We are extremely proud to say that in six years of business and nearly 500 clients, we have only over-run three times. Sure, you might find us still at work on a Friday night at 7 pm but if we say we'll finish on time, that's what we mean!

As all staff members work flexi-time, there are times when an early start is desired (a weekend away looming for example, or hot weather). Where this is desired, the relevant team manager will always check with the client first to see if they mind staff starting earlier. Similarly, we check with clients if we know we're running late to ensure it does not disrupt their evening schedule.

Occasionally, it is preferential for our staff to stay in a hotel overnight rather than travel. On these occasions, we'll normally work on late and start earlier. Again, full client consultation is made to ensure all are happy.
