Snowdonia weekend, Capel Curig, 24-26 September 2010
Turtle Productions

For those of you who have attended the County Skills weekend and are interested either in putting some of those learnt skills to the test, want to extend those skills or simply walk with qualified leaders high in the welsh mountains, this has to be the weekend for you.

The weekend is informally based from the Dolgam campsite at Capel Curig.  With the the Tyn-y-Coed inn just 10 minutes stroll up the road for evening meals, rest and recuperation and half an hour less travel (to Bedgellert - the original home for this event), this is a great weekend to extend your skills in terrain 2 country.

For the 2009 weekend, we wild-camped at the lake of the frogs just under the Carnedds making the weekend a two-day backpacking trip. 2010 could see the same again, the experience of a bothy or the more traditional two-days out staying back at Dolgam - it's up to you!

We also undertake terrain 2 hill-walking permit assessments this weekend so if you are looking to gain your T2, this weekend is a must for you (the only other 'scheduled' assessment weekend is Rydal). Equally, if you are interested in furthering specific walking skills or be trained for a permit, please let us know and we can tailor the package we provide to suit.
