The SafaPond system comprises strong glass coupled polypropylene grid panels (not to be confused with other similar, cheaper and significantly weaker products on the market) which are locked into place on extruded anodised black aluminium beams.
The beams themselves are suspended into the pond on strong but discrete pre-stretched support lines (which extends through each beam and which is anchored to the outside of the pond) or built up on pillars. Different fixings enable the support line to be safely secured to any type of pond edge. The system is designed to withstand the impact of the average 8 year old (40 kg).
To prove its capability, we like to invite the client to join us on the Safadeck at the end of the project, effectively loading it five times beyond its design strength to give the client peace of mind by testing it. Having used the product on several ponds now, we can fully recommend it to potential customers. Whilst it isn't cheap, what price do you place on the safety and life of young children near water?
