Our brief was to restore the pond and replace the rotten bridge.

The pond was drained in the winter and tonnes, plural, of sludge were bucketed away into a skip. Unfortunately, the next day saw the pond re-filled and, upon closer inspection and discussion with neighbours, transpired to be a part-dammed brook! Plan B therefore took over where a large amount of silt was removed, the dam re-built and the brook restored to look like a pond, including a rock bank edge to disguise the original bank.

The bridge was a slightly easier to master using our traditional decking skills married with structural requirements of the span. The bespoke nature of this project came in the form of the client-led railing system for the bridge which has been replicated elsewhere. We hope to return in 2008 for further decking and landscaping work for this client.
