This client needed a new, large, koi pond to house their late parents fish. The client would dig the below-ground portion of the pond to save costs and these savings would be ploughed back in to produce a larger pond!
The first day of this project involved carrying all the supplies around to the rear of the property, installing the pipework for the pond and setting the foundations for the pond, whilst day two saw all the blockwork installed. We then installed the sand base, fleece underliner and butyl pond liner before starting to fill the 23,000 litre pond!
A Hozelock filtration, UVC and pumping system was installed along with an air pump, electronic blanketweed control system and pond lighting. Five tonne of dry-stone walling clad the exterior of the pond whilst Bowland Stone paving capped the wall tops.
