From 2005

We were engaged by this client to enlarge his koi pond. His fish were growing and were soon in danger of exceeding their existing home. We lent the client some storage tanks for the fish and arrived on-site to an empty, enlarged pond ready for our work.

Footings for the 2,000 gallon 3 metre square pond walls were firstly dug and concreted. Block walls were then build whilst the outer walls were bricked with the clients' choice of brick. The sand liner to the pond was then enhanced and a fleece underliner was also installed to protect the new butyl liner.

We started filling the pond to settle the liner and then cemented the edge into place utilising the clients' existing stock of pebbles and cobbles. A 4" side drain was fitted to allow all pond services to run out of sight. Planting pockets were created and planted before all waste was removed, the site cleaned and the client left happily with his new pond. An enjoyable project.
