These clients had recently moved and, having sold their original property, needed a pond to house their fish. We were called in to find the pleasure that was a pre-dug pond awaiting our inspection! Having quizzed the clients on the fish stock that needed to be re-homed, we agreed that a slight bit of re-shaping would allow a pond with a capacity of 1,100 gallon.
Deliveries were made, the hole re-shaped and concrete blocking commenced after the footings were laid and a bottom and side drain were installed.
Once the blockwork was completed, the pond was roughly rendered inside and out before the sand base was installed and a fleece membrane covered the walls. A butyl liner was then installed, the pond filled and coping stones cemented into place. Finally the equipment was connected up, being a Prima pump within a Gravity Green Machine filtration system.
