We were approached to make this patio area more serviceable/child friendly. Our visit presented a patio that was slippery and sloped too much, presenting a danger of slipping down the steps. We recommended a new deck, featuring two elevated sections, replacement decking steps and cladding of all horizontal elevations.
The raised beds were demolished and a new carcass was built spanning the entire area. Step risers were hand crafted on-site and bolted into the main carcass. The handrail units were then installed and securely bolted into the carcass before any deckboards were laid.
The raised deck area deck boards ran 90 degrees to the main deck to provide interest and contract and the 'modern' style spindles/balusters secured the whole area, allowing a new, safe playing area for the clients' children.
