From 2003

Travelling over the bridge, we were to make the garden a little more 'useful' following the recent completion of a conservatory.
A partly raised, free-standing deck was designed to follow the side garden levels whilst providing under-deck storage in place of a shed.

We therefore built the deck on pylons - 4" x 4" timbers clamped both sides and sunk into a firm bed of concrete to take the weight, wear and tear of traffic whilst maximising the space underneath for storage.

With the deck boards following the line of the neighbours garage, they helped carry the eye across the platform and adding the illusion of a larger space.

Featheredge cladding helped enclose the structure whilst a small gate was made on-site and attached to provide a securable access to the under-deck store.
