The client moved into a new house, to find a useable deck outside the rear of the property and a bramble wilderness beyond. The key requirements of the garden were a pond, more useable/socialising space (parties?) and negligible maintenance.
We stripped out the brambles, digging out their routes as the pond was dug. The deck was extended with a lower level, plus the creation of a small jetty jutting out into the pond. A waterfall and small rockery at the far end of the garden created a focal point beyond the pond whilst South Cerney gravel laid on a membrane took care of the socialising/maintenance angle.
Sporadic planting with low voltage garden lighting added colour and the ability to use the space in the evening, through the transformation through lighting of the garden.
A great project for a brilliant client; thanks for the night-time picture of the lighting!
