The Herefordshire Strawberry Farm Lagoon.
This original lagoon was watertight, but leached silt due to wind action, with a build-up of 4-5 metres deep of silt rendering this lagoon unsuitable for todays’ irrigation needs. With a large investment in water treatment for strawberry growing, this project was thwarted for almost 6 months with Autumn rain, Christmas, Winter rain, Brexit, Winter rain and finally Coronavirus. Just before the Country locked down, we got this 54m x 54m x 6m deep irrigation lagoon lined in the nick of time. We shall have strawberries for the summer now!
