You are here: Commercial Site Work
Site liner welding
Water features can be unlimited in size, volume or shape, which makes every project unique, bespoke and valued. With our climate changing and water tables drying out, traditional, natural clay lined ponds are starting to fail. Quality, reliable materials coupled with the right team are essential for the success of aquatic investment and these are the key business aims of Turtle Productions. We can line … just about anything! across the country and are able to respond to your needs, every time.

Working with your team, or ours!

Working in conjunction with and often on recommendation from SealEco UK Ltd, we can supply and install any quantity of EDPM in any shape, anywhere in the country to solve your water loss or new-build requirements.
We provide our own team of employed specialist installers – all trained in the art of liner welding. We are happy to work alongside your staff/trades and contractors and, to this end, are all CSCS qualified and First Responders for any site work.
We are happy to work to your requirements on any site to solve your water storage problem – whether it is new-build, restoration, emergency leak or service maintenance. We can generally repair any damage to your EPDM liner too.
We have also built a network of trusted Groundworkers across the UK should you desire a turn-key solution.
Life of service
Visit this life project - now 51 years old
Wilst EPDM is expensive, it only needs installing once.
Laboratory tested to 56 years of life, we believe the claim of double-the-life of other membranes is vald –
You should expect up to 60 years of service.
Weigh up the costs of a half-price liner, but doing the job twice – or more?
Short term savings normally cost more in the long run…

Materials
There are a variety of materials available to the UK market for lining – plastic, LLDPE, HDPE, Bentonite, Butyl & EPDM. Plastic liners (plastic, LLDPE & HDPE) have a life of up to half (28 years) that of EPDM, whilst butyl will last 25 years +/- 5 years. Whilst EPDM is more expensive, it only needs installing once and should last well beyond 56 years of life. You ultimately save by not needing to re-engineer the site half-way through an EPDM liners’ life.
With Elevate EPDM membrane’s working life of up to 60 years, it is:
- Fully UV stable
- Repairable should you damage it and
- will outlast the best HDPE liner by doubling its life.
A great investment where ownership of the project, for example farms, pass down through the generations.
With over 15 years in the industry, and seeing more the effects of cheaper membranes breaking down over time, which can cause micro plastics (POP’s) to enter water-courses. Turtle have chosen to only install EPDM rubber membranes. They are a natural product, entirely UV stable, have double the life span of plastic membranes and negate the risk of these pollution’s.

Specialist liner welding
Owners and developers demand value for money on all remedial or new-build work and we excel at providing this specialist service whilst exceeding their expectations as a specialist sub-contractor.
Careful work with you pre quotation ensures the right shape, size and quantity of materials are specified for your project, effectively eliminating waste – good for both the environment and cost management. We are very proud of the fact that in 14 years of liner welding, we have yet to order a skip.
We are very proud of our relationship with our supplier, SealEco UK Ltd, maintaining the ethos that we are only as good as the last job we did, but having the experience and flexibility to respond to new clients’ requirements when they need us.
We are also proud members of Firestone’s European partner scheme – meaning we can be called upon (and have) to attend projects anywhere in the continent either by recommendation or on behalf of Elevate. No matter how small or large, public, private or commercial your project is, we are here to help.

Repairable membrane

Lasting up to 60 years, EPDM membranes doesn’t break, but it can become damaged – either through adverse interaction with the liner, maintenance or wildlife damage, like bird strikes.
Unlike cheaper membranes, EPDM membranes can be fully repaired whether it’s a puncture or tear, and that work can be warranted too, if undertaken by a qualified engineer.
Using EPDM repair processes and products, we can quickly restore the liner to a fully sealed system to maintain your water storage integrity. This ultimately saves you cost, interruption and down-time or inconvenience.
Turtle Productions offer a UK-wide Inspection and Repair Service. We can inspect your installation, report and then repair, or immediately repair any EPDM membrane, extending its life and saving the inordinate cost of replacement. Why not get in touch?
Where required, we are happy to work either to you, an insurance company on your/their behalf or other interested parties as required. See our repair service for more information.
Microplastics
The Environment Agency are becoming increasingly concerned at the levels of POPs being displayed in the environment, especially our water-courses.
EPDM rubber liners are a natural product, entirely UV stable and have double the life span of cheaper membranes.
Recent public concern of river pollution along with climate change has seen awareness and choice of membrane arising during the planning process.
Turtle Productions fully endorses and supports EPDM membranes.

This is what we do...

3 Acre Attenuation Swale, Warwickshire
This is pond 3 of an attenuation system for a multiple-house-builder development in Warwickshire. Sirius Remediation engaged our services to line this 11,158 sq m three-acre attenuation pond.

The Wave, Bristol
We won the contract to install the EPDM liner for The Wave at its new, world-first inland surfing lake near Bristol. This facility features a 180m long lake powered by Wavegarden Cove technology that produces perfect surfing waves, all year round …

32,000m3 Irrigation Lagoon, Herefordshire
Dug by our friends AMS, we were asked to line this 115 x 70 x 4m 32000m3 irrigation lagoon in Herefordshire. We suffer a few false starts to line it thanks to the Great British weather, however the sun arrives to dry things out, allowing us to work quickly.
